What is AI streaming?
"AI streaming" gets used for two different things. The loose sense is any livestream that leans on AI — auto-captions, a digital-human avatar, an AI assistant reading chat. The strict sense — and the one this site tracks — is a livestream where AI is generating the picture itself, live, fast enough to feel like television.
What changed in late August 2026 is that generation crossed a threshold: a model like fal's H3 Max (a realtime-tuned MiniMax H3) can now produce roughly five seconds of 768p video in under three seconds — faster than playback. That is what turned "AI video" from a render job into something that can stream indefinitely, like a TV channel, with the audience steering what happens next.
AI live streaming, in the sense that matters
An AI livestream channel is an always-on broadcast where every frame is generated on the fly rather than played back from a file. What is a realtime video model?
A realtime (or "faster-than-realtime") video model is one that generates a clip quickly enough to sustain a live stream. Today that mostly means fal's H3 Max build of MiniMax H3 — roughly 35× the throughput of MiniMax’s official endpoint (fal-reported), at a 768p ceiling. Regular video models such as MiniMax’s own API, Wan or Runway generate asynchronously and are not realtime.
What is an AI streamer?
